Sir Michael Latham - Chairman
Sir Michael Latham is chairman of CWC and author of the highly influential joint government/industry report Constructing the Team  (1994).  He chaired the government 2004 enquiry into the working of the 1996 Construction Act and has received many national awards for his services to industry and holds honorary doctorates from four British universities. He was a Member of Parliament from 1974 to 1992.

Dr Neil Jarrett - CEO
A chartered engineer with qualifications and experience in business management, Neil's early career was in the management, design and supervision of major construction projects in the UK and overseas. He has since worked in the Senior Civil Service and at the University of Warwick where he developed specialist knowledge in supply chain management, procurement for collaboration and Lean Improvement techniques.  In 2001, Neil set up CWC with Government support to supply training and mentoring in advanced procurement and business improvement techniques. 

Joe Dowling - Deputy CEO, Director, Infrastructure
An experienced construction project manager with over twenty years' experience in design and construction management, Joe works with CWC Client teams to help them to procure and develop successful collaborative working environments. He is a chartered civil engineer with a business management degree who, prior to joining CWC, worked in Client, contractor and design organisations.

Vaughan Burnand - Director
Vaughan is Chairman of Constructing Excellence. He is a successful Chief Executive with a proven track record of business growth and change management in the construction sector, implementing new and modern business practices that develop culture and improve performance.  Current experience includes implementing lean processes to ensure that all projects and departments utilise modern ways of working to deliver business success whilst handling and resolving long-running legacy problem contracts.

Jonathan Gilmore - Director, Business Improvement
Provides change management and lean improvement consultancy services to improve value for money and efficiency of clients and their supply chains.  Jonathan has an Msc in Construction Innovation and helps clients focus on cutting edge processes and development of innovation including the use of standardized and off site solutions.  Jonathan has lectured in innovation, open book estimating and tendering processes and modern methods of construction.

Martyn Baker - Director, Education & Health 
An experienced Civil Engineer with qualifications in Business Management.  Martyn has been instrumental in the formulation of procurement consortia and networks for the construction of Schools, working with the East and South West Regional Centres of Excellence and with COPROP on their National Property Procurement initiative. Partners in this initiative include Suffolk CC, Essex CC, Hertfordshire CC, Norfolk CC, Peterborough City Council and Luton Borough Council. 

Paul Kirby - Director, Housing 
Paul delivers lean improvement activities and performs the role of Client Manager. In this role he works with Clients to understand their objectives, develop the support programme requirements to assist them in achieving their objectives and manages the delivery of the CWC support programme. This includes procurement and management of frameworks, Open Book Cost Management, training programmes and continuous/lean improvement activities.Paul has been involved in many collaborative projects including Hillingdon Homes Ltd, Worcester Community Housing, Magna Housing, Leeds ALMOs, London ALMOs, Communities Scotland, Devanha and the Larach Alliance.

David Brown - Director, Business Development
David joined CWC in October 2003 as a Senior Commercial Consultant; he has considerable experience in the interrogation and analysis of historical cost databases with the objective of negotiating improved baseline budget and target costs, and in the establishment of commercial models for framework arrangements as well as the integration of Clients’ and Contractors’ costing systems.
 
David’s first-hand experience of delivering projects both as a Contractor and as a Consultant means that he has an all-round understanding of how best to overcome issues that arise during the partnering process.  His Construction Industry background offers those involved in day-to-day procurement a practitioner’s insight on how best value in procurement can be achieved.  Now in charge of CWC’s Business Development, David uses his knowledge and experience to guide Clients towards a more productive and rewarding collaborative partnering process.

Paul Daniels - Managing Director, CW Leadership & Management

Paul has over 25 years’ experience in consultancy across the lifecycle of developments & estates on many public and private projects. Previously a director at Cyril Sweett Plc, he has developed a broad expertise in collaborative working and lean process whilst providing both leadership and management. He is a proven leader and enjoys working with teams such that each team member can achieve their own ambitions and objectives. His background is in planning and programming moving across into project management in the early 1990s. At Cyril Sweett Paul led a successful project management business unit with an emphasis on a sustainable and integrated infrastructure of people, process & service delivery that created opportunity whilst reducing business risk.

Paul is Managing Director of the CWC Leadership and Management team which provides project management services to Clients in managing projects in a collaborative and lean way such that they can obtain the benefits that ensue.
