Our PeopleThe Collaborative Working Centre's 50 strong team includes leaders in construction, manufacturing, process engineering and academia. Our consultants provide the full range of capabilities required for collaborative working. Such people are rare in construction, so, we have developed a policy of recruiting from construction and other industries, particularly manufacturing. We have found that the combination of advanced integration skills from the manufacturing sector, together with the deep understanding of industry from our specialist construction people, gives us a unique position in the market place. Board of DirectorsSir Michael Latham - Chairman, was author of the massively influential 1994 report "Constructing the Team", the outcome of the joint industry-government review of the UK construction industry. He is currently: Chairman of CITB, Deputy Chairman Willmott Dixon, Chairman of Partnership Services, President of the European Construction Institute and Visiting Professor of the University of Central England in Birmingham. Don Ward - Director, is also chief executive of Be (Built Environment), the largest independent construction supply chain body in the UK. Be's 100 member firms are clients, contractors, consultants and specialists & manufacturers all committed to collaborating for sustainable improvement in the built environment through the research and delivery of change within firms. Don previously led the Design Build Foundation which became Be in 2002. He was also chief executive of the Construction Industry Board, working with the trade and professional bodies of the industry, its clients and government to improve UK construction performance.
