CWC's recent strategic and process improvement programmes have saved over 20% of revenue cost on maintenance programmes. Leicestershire County Council re-organised their entire highways operation in line with CWC recommendations. They saved millions of pounds and gained excellent favour from members as a direct result.

Highways

Our Highways business delivers strategic, procurement and business improvement services for highways maintenance and capital contracts, ensuring our Clients deliver huge efficiencies through their supply chains. Our Lean Sigma process improvement service is not charged until we have registered savings of over double the facilitation cost. We generate millions of pounds cost reduction on a typical highways maintenance programme.

CWC have also been instrumental in creating the first regional Highways Alliance. The Midlands Highway Alliance (MHA) includes six partner authorities carrying our joint procurement with the Highways Agency.

Waste

CWC provide waste disposal authorities support in their procurment process from strategic advice to secondments that cover financial, project management and administarial duties. CWC has tangibly demonstrated savings in external advisory costs from secondments to the core team.
