Why Use CWC?

CWC is the leading provider of Collaborative Working training and consultancy to the Construction Industry. Established as a not for profit training organisation through DTI funding under the auspices of the Design Build Foundation (since amalgamated into Constructing Excellence) in November 2001, CWC evolved to take forward the learning on Integrated Supply Chains and Collaborative Working arising from a number of 'Latham and Egan' demonstration projects. Mentoring and scheme delivery has included Schools, Housing, Retail, Health and Utilities.

The Centre's Chairman is Sir Michael Latham, author of the landmark industry report 'Constructing the Team', and it is led by a number of leading Construction industry professionals including, Dr Neil Jarrett, Vaughan Burnand, David Bucknall and Don Ward. They have all gained their knowledge and experience by being actively involved in the Construction Industry's pathfinder initiatives and projects. These include, but are not limited to, the Rethinking Construction Report, Building Down Barriers, Prime Contracting, Achieving Excellence, the Strategic Forum and most recently the Government's Construction Strategy.

CWC is becoming nationally renowned for its expertise in advising the Public & Private sectors and we are one of the few organisations in the UK whose practice is equally balanced between Construction and Manufacturing experts. This combination enables us to add value to the service we provide in areas such as Procurement and Performance Improvement where the two sectors interface.
